What is Commz?
Commz is a wireless helmet communication system for skiing and snowboarding. Each person wears their own unit with speakers and a microphone inside their helmet, so your group can talk naturally while on the mountain.
Do I need to press a button to talk?
No. Once connected, Commz is hands-free. You speak naturally and your group hears you through their helmet speakers, keeping your hands on your poles and your phone in your pocket. Ideal for children who usually struggle with walkie-talkies.
What is MESH technology?
MESH networking is proprietary technology that lets every Commz unit act as both a communicator and a relay. Instead of one central point that everyone must stay close to, the signal can hop from device to device across the group, finding the strongest available path and enhancing range.
If one user drops behind a ridge, the other devices automatically rebuild the chain. This is called self-healing: the network reroutes itself in real time so the rest of the group stays connected without stopping, pressing buttons or reconnecting manually.
How does Commz fit?
The main unit is versatile and can attach to the outside of your helmet, jacket or backpack strap. Slim speakers sit inside the ear pockets, and a soft boom microphone sits near your mouth. It is designed to work with most ski and snowboard helmets.
